We would like to thank you all for your continued support which makes it possible for us to help our partner church as they provide assistance for the growing needs of those in their community during this year of uncertainty. Back in March our partner church Linaje Del Rey began seeing an increase in the number of people affected by the Corona virus. Pastor Ruben keeps a portion of donation funds set aside for emergency use for situations such as these. The church took quick action, evaluated the priority of the different needs of the people in their community and began delivering food to the people most immediately impacted. By late March places in Ecuador began to shut down, leaving many people in need of both financial support and food assistance.

Many areas in Ecuador began running dangerously low on supplies such as face masks, gloves and medical alcohol. By early April Ecuador began enacting quarantine measures, placing tighter restrictions on people, and just a few weeks later they were under stay at home orders. Pastor Ruben jumped into action and went about requesting special approval from the government to do weekly food and supply drops to people during the quarantine. Thankfully, the government agreed and Pastor Ruben and his congregation were able to set to work providing much needed assistance to many in the area.

The church started collecting and distributing necessary supplies on a weekly basis. They delivered loaves of bread and bagels to people in lockdown and financial aid and medications to those affected with the virus. Your donations have helped greatly in the church being able to provide critical supplies to people who would otherwise do without.

Thankfully, by October Linaje Del Rey was able to reopen and they have been able to focus even more on providing financial and medical support. Thanks to your support the church has been able to assist with the costs of many medical needs during this time. The church was able to assist with getting an outpatient consultation and virus test for the lady in this picture. She has heart issues and was having respiratory trouble and no real way to get care. They were able to help her get the care she needed and thankfully she tested negative for the virus.

Another person helped directly by your contributions is this adorable little guy, Gael. He was in need of medical checkups for his hearing because Gael has hearing difficulties and it is vital that his tests are up to date to insure good overall health and enjoyment in life. And that smiling guy little guy in the picture up to the right is also Gael.

These are just a few of the specific people who our partner church has been able to help during the virus. Again, we cannot fully convey how much your gifts help so many during this especially difficult time. Pastor Ruben and his church have expressed great gratitude for your support and compassion. They continue to work hard to help those in need while also staying safe themselves. Thank you again for your willingness to help us to help them.
